Fatmata Mary Dakowah
Fatmata Mary Dakowah is from the Makeni Township in the Bombali District. She is studying to become a State Registered Nurse in the IDEA Nurse Education Program.

M’balu
M’balu is an 18 year old orphan in The Women’s Vocational and Literacy Program who struggles with physical challenges resulting from polio. After her parents were killed, she endured months of hardship in the bush before she was found by farmers. She now lives with a distant uncle who cares for her and her siblings.

After graduation, M’balu plans to use a microloan to purchase a sewing machine and materials to start her own business. She plans to return to her village and share her skills with her community.
