4,000 Farms Celebrated

The IDEA Foundation celebrated its' creation of 4,000 farms in Sierra Leone through program partner Heifer International. A Fund-raising get together was held a the home of one of our generous volunteers in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, October 29. Heifer International's Country Director for Sierra Leone and the IDEA Board President were both on hand to explain the human impact of the work being done by people in Sierra Leone. Lives have been transformed as people have accepted the community responsibility to help each other by passing on gifts of information, animals, and seeds.

In Denver, on Sunday the 30th, the Future International Administration Professionals student group hosted a presentation to graduate students at the University of Denver's Joseph Korbel School of International Studies. Heifer County Director Rashid Sesay made a presentation explaining the management aspects of recreating successes worldwide. Mr. Sesay and IDEA's Executive Director and Director of Development fielded insightful questions from faculty and students. The majority of students in attendance will be placed in various countries by the Peace Corps in the coming year.
